Each day, thousands of leased vehicles are damaged in accidents,
fires, thefts or floods. If the leasing company determines they have more damage than a preset limit of body shop hours
they are sold at auctions. They may not be "totaled" they may only have over say "10 hours of damage". Once this is
determined, these damaged cars are referred to as wrecked vehicles, are still repairable and are sold at special
auctions only to authorized dealers.
When purchasing a used vehicle through a rebuildable automobile dealer, it is important that you, the consumer,
understand that a repairable vehicle, if repaired properly, is just as safe as a new vehicle. Woodbys goal is to provide
vehicles that are not "Totaled" and can be safely repaired by any quality body shop. We sometimes have these vehicles
repaired for our families and drive them ourselves.
Many repairable vehicles purchased at auctions from leasing companies such as Hertz and Enterprise can be easily
repaired and have good titles. Many of them we purchase still "lot drive" and some can be driven home as-is to your body
shop to begin the repair process.
